Theme Halloween

   SPOOKTACULAR NIGHT:

Create a spooky atmosphere by depicting graveyard on the page, preferably at the bottom. You can use suitable colours like dark blue and a starry night paper as the background.

You can create the ground using tan or brown strips of cardstock. Scissors can be used to cut the edges jaggedly to give a feel of bushy grass. You can also use die or hand cut tombstones, moon, pumpkin, etc.

Journaling can be done on tombstones and on the top of the page, you can use orange die cuts to write Spooktacular Night or any other interesting title of your choice.

Photos can be mounted against the background of the sky in between the title and the graveyard.

OUR LIL’ PUMPKIN:

You can use pumpkin die cuts to make oval or circle pumpkins of different sizes. It is better to keep the pumpkins less than 2” in diameter.

Faces can be decorated using hold punches for eyes and a half circle punch for the mouth.

After completing the pumpkins, you can add some raffia clips to resemble stems and vines and some green leaves to embellish.

On the top, use orange or yellow die cut letters to write Our LIL Pumpkin or any title of your choice.

THE HAUNTED HOUSE:

Depending on how you want it you can make this layout simple or elaborate. Choose the background paper first. It makes sense to use a patterned starry night’s paper and a sheet of gray or brown cardstock.

In the next step, cut out a basic shape of a house with a simple square bottom and a triangle shaped roof. Then one by one, cut out the doors, windows, window flaps and shutters, etc.

The house is now ready to be decorated. Decorating involves making roof shingles, shutters, etc using a pen or layers of small squares of paper.

Using your creativity, you can draw knots holes or wood grains on the outer surface walls and doors of the house. For that extra effect, you can also add a “Do Not Enter” sign outside the door.

Now, after choosing your photos, arrange them inside the house after opening all the doors and windows. You can stick these photos with glue or a glue stick.

Now it is time to lay the house on the background.

Strips of brown or green paper can be used to make dry or green grass depending on what you want the effect to be. You can also add a spooky tree, bushes, a moon or other stickers to enhance the spooky look
