Theme Christmas
If you want the scrapbook to be good,
it is very important to choose a single Christmas theme and work on it. It is exciting to collect pictures of the
season like Santa, Christmas tree, snow, sledge, etc.
You can associate important incidents of your life like the getting married, birth of
a child, buying a pet, etc with the Christmas of that year in your scrapbook.
You can put in pictures of you and your spouse enjoying Christmas together or you and
your child spending your first Christmas together, etc.
Borders for your scrapbook can be made attractive. The possibilities are
innumerable.
* You can cut out the cardstock in circles and decorate every circle as a Christmas
ornament. The possibilities for creative borders are endless.
* You can use decorative garland after trimming off some springs from the back of it.
You can then stick these to the edges of your scrapbook and also creatively include some berries in them to make
them look like hollies.
* Alternately you can use raffia’s which are of a natural colour and put them on the
borders in a line like small bows.
* For the background page of the scrapbook, it is a good idea to
use the wrapping paper you get for wrapping gifts. You can even save wrapping papers from gifts you have received,
make scraps out of them and stick them up.
* You can journal your photographs using gift tags to make it look
attractive.
* If you cannot paste pictures directly on the scrapbook page you can fold a piece
of cardstock into half and make a snowflake pattern in it. You can paste the snowflake in it and the picture in the
centre of the snowflake.
* Another cute idea would be to cut out a Christmas tree large in size, paste it on
the scrapbook page, cut out small circles from the cardstock and paste pictures of your family inside these circles
and hang them on the trees just like ornaments.
There is no dearth of ideas that can be created. You can have immense fun creating
with Christmas themes and ideas.
