MY DAUGHTER’S

For this you will need a photograph of the little girl and her mother, their hospital ID bracelets, cardstock in mint, pale yellow, pink, or any other attractive colours, a pink marker, pink die cuts or letter stickers, pink ribbons, hole puncher, adhesive, stickers, pencil, etc.

Martina McBride’s “In My Daughter’s Eyes,” is an ultimate song for mother/daughter.

* The first step is to create a matte out of the pink cardstock leaving a border all around the photograph. create a matte out of pink cardstock, leaving a 1/8" border all around your photograph.

* Create the second matte leaving a half an inch border around the first.

* After double matting it thus, make a dot with a pencil on the back of the yellow cardstock in each corner about a quarter of an inch from the edges. Make quarter inch dots all around the edges of the matte.

* The next step involves making holes on the pencil dots using a hole puncher.

* Thread the ribbon in an out of the holes punched finishing in the centre to tie a bow above the photograph.

* Next with the mint cardstock do the same thing and tie a ribbon.

* Next, make a 3 inch square of the yellow cardstock and matt it on to the pink one leaving a border. With the pink market write a journal. It can be a line from the song to make it more interesting.

* Punch two holes on the centre of the flap of the vellum envelope and tie a bow by threading the remaining ribbon through it.

* Finally, use die cuts or letter stickers to spell “In My Daughter’s Eyes” and arrange them in whichever way you want to and fix them with glue or tape.

After setting them up, place the hospital ID bracelets in the vellum envelope as a keepsake.
