Budgets and Scrapbooks

Scrapbooking can be a very expensive hobby if you go around shopping in the market for materials to use.

There are ways by which you can enjoy scrapbooking with minimal investment. You will just have to learn a few budgeting tips. Firstly, you must make sure you do not get carried away and buy all the materials available in the market. You can just start your venture with some basic supplies.

Finding a scrapbooking partner is an excellent way to share expenses. You can share stuff like tools, templates which you can borrow, layout ideas, etc.

You can exchange decorations based on each of your needs so you do not have to go and spend money on them. Each of you can buy a scrapbooking magazine and swap them after reading thereby halving the expense.

You could agree to buy two new instruments every month and sharing those mutually.

Instead of spending on die cuts and stickers, you can matt your layouts with various matting techniques to make them look attractive. You can avoid buying materials for page toppers by creatively printing out messages and headings on acid free paper and including it in the layout.

Alternately instead of buying a variety of die cuts, you can just buy one and use it again and again by carefully tracing it out on cardboard stock using a pencil and cutting out letters.

Do not spend money on buying circle or oval cutters. You can just find round or oval items in your house and use them to trace the outline on the cardboard.

The more scrapbooking you do, the more ways you will discover to use available materials and make this interesting hobby as economical and as creative as possible.
